On friday, september 5, 1996, riverside police officers responded to 7756 california street for a shooting. The victim, 24-year-old christopher alvarez, was shot and then ran to a nearby apartment for help. He was transported to the hospital for medical treatment, but he ultimately died from the multiple gunshot wounds he suffered.
