Description: 17-year-old male suspect approached an off-duty NY State Trooper at the Mobil station, brandished a knife, and entered the driver's seat of her vehicle in attempted carjacking. The Trooper fired one shot, striking him in the left arm and torso. Suspect fled in the stolen vehicle, crashed through a shed and fence, abandoned the vehicle at an adjacent apartment building; apprehended without incident at 1328 Midland Ave. Non-life-threatening injuries; treated at hospital. Charged with Robbery 1st/2nd/3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, and Menacing 2nd Degree.
