On july 4th, 2004, at approximately 11:30 pm, deputies responded to the area of 1000 s. Semoran boulevard (golfside villas) in reference to shots being fired in the area. The victim and his friend were sitting in his vehicle when an unknown black male approached them and ordered them out of the vehicle. The victim tried to drive away from the suspect and was shot.
