On september 2, 2013, a physical alteration broke out that involved several subjects in the 3200 block of w. Holmes rd. Several bystanders were also present. The physical altercation was interrupted by gunfire. Marcus was fatally shot while two other subjects were shot and survived. Marcus loved the game of football. He played from age 5 until he graduated from high school and was an excellent running back. He was an easy to like, and easy to love, person. He was a great father who adored his children, and they adored him. Marcus was a very hard-working young man, often holding more than one job at a time. He had a great love for music, was a very talented rapper, and hoped to make it a career someday. Marcus was a loving son. He truly loved his family and will be forever missed.
