The victims’ mother reported she was sitting in her house on the couch when an unknown person entered the residence. The subject, who she believed to be a black male, approximately 5’6”, slender build, wearing grey sweat pants and a mask entered the residence armed with a rifle with a shell catcher on it. The male walked past her to the front bedroom of the residence where he shot her son joseph smith, then turned and walked to the rear bedroom where he shot her oldest son roland deloatch. The gunman returned to the living room where he pointed the firearm at her and she begged for her life. The gunman left her unharmed and exited the residence on foot in an unknown direction.
