at approximately 12:30 a.M., on october 22, 1953, deputies received a call from apopka police department in reference to a shooting which occurred at the blue goose jook, a gambling location in zellwood owned by lee grant, who was at the location when the shooting occurred. The body of joe stevens later identified as joseph stevenson, a black male was found near the blue goose jook with multiple shooting wounds.Agency
