At the time of his murder on March 11, 1976, Michael Bellemur was working as the manager of a local motel on Tenth Street in Monterey. Michael was shot and killed during an attempted robbery of the motel’s office. Several suspects, involved in multiple other robberies during this same time period, were identified during the initial investigation.
