On december 27, 1972, the remains of linda dianne russ, age 26, were found in a ditch at the corner of inland road and deepwater drive in the great bridge section of the city. The victim, a resident of norfolk, had been reported missing on september 1, 1972, and was last seen on august 23, 1972, at daniel's den, a bar located at the time in the ocean view section of norfolk.
