On sunday, september 30, 2007, at around 1 am, police and dc fire department emergency medical personnel responded to the 5400 block of 14th street, nw to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered that two 15-year-old males and one 14-year-old male had been shot while standing at a bus stop. One of the victims, identified as 15-year-old jonathan franklin, of the 1500 block of 2nd street, sw, died from his wounds. The second and third victims were transported to area hospitals and admitted for treatment of apparently non-life-threatening injuries. Their identities are being withheld because they are witnesses in the case.
