On january 17th, 2006, deputies responded to the wooded area (known transient camp) located in the northwest corner of forsyth road and muskogee street in regards to a shooting. The victim reported earlier he was pistol whipped by some unknown hispanic males. Suspect was seen fleeing the area in a red ford mustang. The victim died as a result of the gunshot wound.
