On july 22, 2003 at about 9:45 pm the rochester police department responded to the area of jefferson ave and west main st for the report of a male shot on the sidewalk. Upon arrival they found 21-year-old darrell jones suffering from gunshot wounds. He ultimately succumbed died a short time later at the hospital. Witnesses reported that jones was hanging out with a group of friends near the corner when two suspects ran up and began shooting.Agency
