Description: Unlawful use/possession of a weapon by felon (two Counts) Aggravated Unlawful use of a weapon (two counts), Violation of FOID Act (two counts). On 10/06/2026 at approximately 6:30 PM, DPPD officers were dispatched to the Rivers Casino surface parking lot in the 3000 block of S. Des Plaines River Rd. regarding two firearms found concealed in bushes. Casino security reported that [individual] had been observed placing a black object in the bushes, and security footage showed [individual] retrieving two firearms from a backpack before concealing them near the parking lot; [individual] was subsequently located inside the casino and taken into custody. A LEADS inquiry confirmed both firearms were reported stolen from Elk Grove Village, and evidence technicians recovered the firearms for further processing. [individual] was transported to DPPD, where he refused to provide a statement or DNA sample, and a fingerprint inquiry confirmed his identity and prior felony convictions. [individual] was charged with two counts of Unlawful Use or Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, two counts of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and two counts of Firearm Owner’s Identification Card violations.
