Description: Driving Under the Influence. On October 4 th, 2026, at approximately 2120 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police Williston and New Haven barracks responded to the report of a vehicle that had gone off the road. It was determined the vehicle had left the scene prior to the arrival of first responders. Troopers located the vehicle on VT Rt 17 near Forest Dr and initiated a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The operator was identified as the suspect, 22, of Ticonderoga, NY. While speaking with the suspect, Troopers identified indicators of impairment. the suspect screened and subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI. the suspect transported to the Middlebury Police Department for processing and ultimately released with a citation to appear in the Addison County Superior Court on November 2 nd, 2026, at 1230 hours, to answer to the charge of DUI
