Description: WEAPONS OFFENSE - CARRYING A PROHIBITED WEAPON: On Thursday, October 1, 2026, officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Plainview, Hale County, Texas for a traffic violation that occurred in the 2400 block of E. 5th. During the traffic stop, the 19-year-old male driver was found to hold four active Plainview municipal warrants. When the driver was being searched incident to arrest, two THC vapes were located inside his pocket. A probable cause search was completed of the vehicle, and two additional THC vapes and an empty THC vape were located in the vehicle. A handgun was also located inside the vehicle. The male was transported to the Hale County jail for the municipal warrants. While logging in evidence, one of the THC vape packages contained a marijuana roll. Charges were filed against the male for possession of THC vapes, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and possession of marijuana. The warrants were served. Nothing further.
