Description: 1st Degree Assault. On October 1, 2026, officers responded to a report of an assault. The adult female victim stated that an adult female suspect known to her assaulted her with a knife. Both parties sustained minor injuries during the assault. Officers identified the suspect as Shaniya Young, 26, of Annapolis. The suspect was charged with 1st-degree assault and other related charges. The District Court Commissioner released her on her own recognizance.
