Description: Fraud: A deputy responded to a fraud report regarding an Apple scam. The victim reported receiving a pop-up notification that their phone had been compromised. The victim then contacted the provided number and spoke with the suspects claiming to be with Apple and the FTC. The suspects stated that the victim’s account was compromised and that the victim needed to transfer funds to protect them. The victim was unable to transfer the funds online and was then instructed to physically withdraw the funds from their bank. Upon arriving at the bank, the victim was advised of the scam and stopped all contact with the suspects. The bank froze the victim’s account. A deputy advised the victim to freeze their credit, file an identity theft report, and remove any remote access to their devices.

On december 9th 1994, geraldine's 8 year old son waited for his mother to pick him up from the bus stop. When his mother didn't show and after waiting for several hours, he found a maintenance worker who unlocked the door to their home in the forest village apartments. Her son entered the apartment and found his mother's body on the floor and was unresponsive and with apparent stab wounds. There were no defensive wounds noted or obvious signs of sexual assault or forced entry.
