On saturday, june 7, 2003, ivan beaza-garcia exited the barber shop in the far east side asian center near the intersection of west alameda avenue and federal boulevard. Mr. Beaza-garcia became involved in a verbal altercation with an individual later identified as juan carballo jr. As the argument escalated, the suspect carballo jr. Armed himself with a handgun and shot mr. Beaza-garcia to death. After the shooting mr. Carballo jr., also known as "Bananas", fled the area in a sport utility vehicle. Currently, a warrant for juan carballo jr. Has been issued for the investigation of first degree murder.
