On december 8, 2022, at approximately 6:41pm, officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of marland dr. On the report of a shooting. Officers arrived at scene and found two victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid until columbus fire medic #24 arrived. The medic pronounced victim # 1 deceased at scene, at 6:53pm. The medic then transported victim # 2 to a local hospital in critical condition. Despite receiving life-saving medical treatment, victim # 2 was pronounced deceased at 7:21pm. The victims have been identified as 45yr old matthew scheurell and 37yr old branden morris.Agency
