On july 24, 2004, the victim was involved in a fight with an unknown suspect. During the course of the physical confrontation, the victim was stabbed. The victim was transported to a local hospital and after his condition stabilized, one week later he was discharged. On the morning of august 5, 2004, the victim died as a result of medical complications subsequent to the stab wounds he sustained during the fight.
