Description: Dui: A deputy observed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane and conducted a traffic stop. Upon making contact, the driver displayed signs of impairment, including glassy eyes and slurred speech. The driver admitted to consuming alcohol earlier that day. Field sobriety tests were administered, and a breath sample was received. The driver was subsequently arrested. An open alcoholic beverage was located inside the vehicle. At Public Information a deputy (540) 658-4468 Jarnold@staffordcountyva.gov the Sheriff’s Office, a breath sample revealed that the driver’s blood alcohol content was above the legal limit. The driver was identified as Carlos Madrigal Najarro, 33, of Fredericksburg. Madrigal The suspect was charged with driving under the influence, drinking while operating a motor vehicle, and a traffic lane violation. Madrigal The suspect was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
