Description: Theft; a deputy responded to a delayed theft call. A male who was identified by Walmart’s Organized Retail Crime department observed a male take 20 packs of sports trading cards into the restroom. He then exited and left the store. A deputy confirmed his identity and contacted the male because he lived outside our patrol jurisdiction. He admitted taking the cards into the restroom and opening them, but said he threw them in the garbage can because he had a moment of “clarity”. Being he admitted to opening the cards and throwing them, he was issued a citation for damage to property”.
