On december 10, 2021, at 10:40pm, columbus police were dispatched to the 300 block of east 12th ave on a shooting. Upon arrival, officers observed a blood trail; however, were unable to locate a victim. A short time later, officers received information that a walk-in shooting victim arrived at osu hospital in critical condition. The victim, 38yr old fentahun mengistu, despite receiving emergency lifesaving medical treatment, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 11:19pm. Investigators obtained information that the victim was shot at from a motor vehicle that fled the area.Agency
