Kowalczyk was home alone on 11-06-86. He was found dead in his home by winthrop police who were sent there by his wife when she was unable to raise him by telephone. Mrs. Kowalczyk was in new york at the time of his death searching for a new home for the couple. Police found signs of a struggle inside. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Kowalczyk worked as a snap on tool salesman.
