At approximately 8:40 p.M., officers from north precinct responded to a person down in the 200 block of 6th place north. Officers arrived and observed the victim lying in the roadway unresponsive. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene by birmingham fire and rescue. The preliminary investigation suggests the victim sustained injuries during a physical altercation which resulted in his death. No arrest has been made nor has detectives established a clear motive.
