Description: Excessive Speed. On August 26th, 2026, at approximately 1338 hours, on in Eden, Troopers observed a vehicle driving north near Mt. Hadley Rd at a speed of 74 mph. The posted speed in that area is 35 mph. A traffic stop was conducted, and the operator of the vehicle was identified of Lowell, VT. Pierce was cited for Excessive Speed and ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Lamoille Criminal Division, on October 7th, 2026, at 1230 hours. Additionally, Pierce was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint carrying a waiver amount of $475.00 and 8 points

The peacocks were discovered deceased in their residence on 09/17/89, both victims of homicide. The residence was secure, and no sign of forced entry was discovered. A significant amount of evidence was recovered from the scene, and vsp detectives, cold-case specialists and forensic analysts continued to work the investigation over the years. On thursday, oct. 13, 2022, vsp detectives with the major crime unit, assisted by the new york state police, arrested a suspect in the case: 79-year-old michael anthony louise, the peacocks' former son-in-law.
