On monday, october 24, 2022, at approximately 10:10 pm, birmingham 9-1-1 received call regarding a person shot in the 10 block of elba avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham fire and rescue service arrived to the scene and transported the victim to uab hospital with life threatening injuries. The victim succumbed to his injuries a few hours later. Preliminary investigation suggests the victim walked up to a residence and asked for them to call for help as he had been shot.Agency
