Description: The Fourth Squad reports an attempted residential burglary that occurred on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 4:27 a.m. in North Woodmere. According to detectives, officers responded to a Plainfield Lane residence for a possible burglary. Upon arrival it was determined that unknown subjects attempted to enter a residence. No entry was made and subjects fled in an unknown direction. The investigation is ongoing. Detectives request anyone with information regarding the above incident to contact the Fourth Squad at 516-573-6454.
