On june 17, 1980, 41 year old simon amaro was enjoying drinks with some fellow patrons at richie's bar, lcoated near the intersection of west 26th avenue and federal blvd. Shortly after closing time, mr. Amaro left the bar and was confronted by unknown assailants near his vehicle that was parked next to the bar. During the altercation, simon was shot to death.
