The richmond police department has identified the victim of this morning’s homicide on decatur street as charleston b. Scott, 27, of henrico. At approximately 12:47 a.M., officers responded to the 3400 block of decatur street for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, scott was already being treated in an ambulance. Emergency crews were responding to an unrelated medical call in the same block and were treating a patient in the back of the ambulance, when they heard shots fired. Moments later, they found scott in the driver’s seat of the ambulance with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead about an hour later.Agency
