On july 27, 1994, 17 year old omari nunn and three others were driving on east colfax when a suspect pulled up in a vehicle next to them and fired several rounds into omari's vehicle. He was struck but managed to maneuver the vehicle to a safe stop. Omari was taken to the local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
