The weekend of august 4th through august 6th, 2023, was annual puerto rican festival in the city of rochester. The festival is a catalyst for chaotic events in the north clinton ave. Neighborhood area. On 8/5/23, at about 1 a.M., there were large crowds gathered on north clinton near siebert pl. For unknown reasons, multiple persons began shooting. Twenty-three year old, anthony mcintyre was walking on the sidewalk near the corner of n. Clinton and scrantom street when he was struck by gunfire. He was among five people that were shot during the incident. Anthony mcintyre was transported to strong hospital but died shortly thereafter.
