Description: On Thursday, August 20, 2026, at approximately 2:03 p.m., officers from the New Castle County Division of Police responded to Surratte Park, located in the 400 block of Bethune Drive in the Dunleith community, for a report of an accident involving a pedestrian who had been struck. Upon arrival, officers located a an individual victim who had been struck by a vehicle. The victim sustained injuries to his lower extremities and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. The victim was later released from the hospital. Due to the circumstances of the incident, detectives assigned to the Division’s Traffic Services Unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Through their investigation, detectives identified the vehicle involved as a Honda Accord operated by 41-year-old Eubanks White of Wilmington, Delaware.
