On 04/13/1993 at 9:30pm, Melissa was home alone. When family members arrived home about midnight, they found the door open and signs of a struggle inside. Melissa was missing. At about 3:00 the next afternoon, her body was found under the Edgewater Creek Bridge in the 3800 block of Mukilteo Blvd.
