Description: PUBLIC INTOX - PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, officers were patrolling in the Plainview, Hale County, Texas when they observed a vehicle driving recklessly. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle for reckless driving (speeding, running stop signs, and driving without headlights or taillights). The vehicle did not stop and attempted to evade from officers. The vehicle came to a stop in the where the driver evaded on foot. The male and female passengers were intoxicated and were placed in custody for public intoxication. The male driver was identified but was unable to be located. The male and female passengers were transported to the Hale County jail. The booking process was completed, and they were released to jail staff without further incident. Nothing further.
