Officers were dispatched on a shooting on feb. 15 at 1027 e. 9th st. Upon their arrival, a anthony rice was found suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. He was transported to an area hospital and pronounced deceased. A witness stated several people were struggling with the victim. At some point, one of them shot the victim multiple times before they all left the scene.
