Description: Issuance of a Warrant. Des Plaines Police on patrol observed a Nissan Sentra traveling at Webster Street and Howard Avenue disobey the stop sign at the intersection. The officers pulled behind the vehicle and activated their overhead emergency lights, curbing the vehicle in the 1800 Block of S. Wolf Road. When the officer approached the driver, [individual], he informed her the reason for the traffic stop and requested her driver's license and insurance. Upon receipt of those items, the officers asked Cook County Dispatch to run her information through the system. CCD alerted the officers that [individual] had a warrant through the Chicago Police Department that was confirmed valid and extraditable. [individual] was advised of the violation and asked to step out of the vehicle, to which she complied, and was taken into custody. She was transported to the Des Plaines Police station where she was subsequently arrested for one count of the Issuance of a Warrant. She was turned over to the Chicago Police Department for further.
