Description: Aggravated Assault. Des Plaines Police responded to the 1200 Block of E. Algonquin Road for the original report of a physical altercation. When they arrived, they located the above individual [individual], who appeared to be involved but was denying any sort of altercation occurred. Officers then identified and spoke with the victim, a 28-year-old male Berwyn resident, who stated that he and [individual] were in a verbal dispute when [individual] broke a bottle and threw it at him. A witness to the incident also stated that during the dispute, [individual] had thrown a bottle at the victim. [individual] was taken into custody and transported to the Des Plaines Police station where he was subsequently arrested for one misdemeanor count of Aggravated Assault. He was cited and released with his court information.
