Description: Traffic Violations Animal Bite Virtual Gate Hit Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon Virtual Gate Hit Virtual Gate Hit Pursuit Drug Paraphernalia Warrant Service Virtual Gate Hit: An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 6000 block of Academy Street. Upon contact with the driver and through investigation, it was determined the driver was operating the vehicle without a valid driver's license or proof of financial responsibility. The driver was taken into custody for the violations and transported to the West University Place Jail for processing. 07/24/26 An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department lobby in reference to a reported animal bite that had already occurred. Upon arrival and through investigation, it was determined that an individual had sustained multiple dog bites and received medical treatment for their injuries. The owner of the dog was identified and cited in connection with the incident. 07/24/26 Officers were dispatched Buffalo Speedway regarding a vehicle associated with a wanted subject. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was arrested on the outstanding warrant and transported to the WUPD Jail for processing. 07/24/26 Officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of Sunset in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, officers determined through investigation that the suspect had used a weapon to cause serious bodily injury to the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The suspect was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
