Description: Issuance of a Warrant. Des Plaines Police were on patrol in the 2300 Block of W. Devone Avenue when they observed a Harley-Davidson motorcycle in the empty grass lot on the north side of the roadway. The officer pulled over to check on the unattended motorcycle and ran the Illinois state registration which came back to the above individual [individual], and alerted them that he had a warrant through the Pike County Sheriff's Police Department. Also located in the area was a cellphone that was recovered and brought back to the station while the unattended motorcycle was towed.  Later that day, [individual] came into the Des Plaines Police station advising of the accident and stated that he had hit a curb causing the motorcycle to fall to the ground. At that time, officers confirmed through Cook County Dispatch that the warrant was valid and extraditable. [individual] was advised of the violation and escorted to a secure area of the police station where he was subsequently arrested for one count of the Issuance of a Warrant. After posting the required bond, [individual] was released with his court information.
