On august 8, 2009, 35 year old samuel schrup's vehicle was found abandoned on shrine pass road in eagle county, colorado. There was a campsite set up in the area of the vehicle. The vehicle had dust and pine cone needles on it, so it appeared to have been there for some time. There was a hand written journal in the vehicle, the entry stated; "About to hike a hill. See you after". A search including use of a k-9 with rescue found nothing. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to please contact the eagle county sheriff's office.Agency
