Description: Reckless Driving: CFS 2149 // On 7/21/2026 at approximately 2221 hours, Soldotna AST was conducting patrol in the area of MP 84 Sterling Highway (in Sterling) when a dirtbike was observed driving southbound on the fog line at approximately 85 MPH in a 45 MPH safety corridor. AST initiated a traffic stop on the dirtbike and it continued down several gravel roads at a high rate of speed before stopping back on the Sterling Highway. The driver was identified as a subject. Fairbanks was issued a criminal summons for Reckless Driving.
