On the evening of june 23, 1976, 34 year old willie jones became involved in an altercation with an unknown suspect. During the confrontation, willie jones was stabbed. Willie staggered away from his attacker until he collapsed in front of a residence near the corner of east 27th avenue and humboldt street. Police and paramedics responded and immediately transported him to a local hospital, but willie died shortly after arrival.
