Officers from the denver police department were called to the standish hotel on a report of a deceased male within one of the rooms. The victim was identified as edward pelter, a registered guest at the hotel. Due to the suspicious nature of the victim's death, which was caused by asphyxiation, this case was investigated as a homicide. Victim edward pelter, honorable, served in the united states military and at the time of his murder, was confined to a wheelchair.
