At approximately 10:20 pm, west precinct officers were dispatched to 901 bankhead highway west on report of a person shot. Officers arrived on the scene when they observed a vehicle riddled with bullets. Officers observed two males suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.Birmingham fire and rescue (bfr) personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced one of the males deceased. Bfr transported a second male to uab hospital with life-threatening injuries.The preliminary investigation suggests a separate vehicle pulled alongside the victims’ vehicle and began firing shots. The suspect(s) struck the victims as well as multiple occupied vehicles.Agency
