On january 23, 1998 at 3:41 a.M., officers responded to trailer haven on a report of a man down. Officer found the victim on the ground with evidence of trauma. Managers of the property indicated they had heard a man moaning outside of their residence and called security who subsequently called police. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The suspect(s) responsible for the death of elbert puryear have yet to be identified.
