On 10-21-2022, at 1237 hours, officers were dispatched to the location in regard to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the victim inside the vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Witnesses observed a gray charger chasing the white camry the victim was occupying along I-70 east prior to the shooting. They heard several gunshots and observed the victim's vehicle strike the highway barricade and then come to rest at the location. The victim was later pronounced deceased at an area hospital.
