On september 28, 2000, sharveil moorer left the going street market approximately 10:50 pm after buying a pack of cigarettes. Mr. Moorer, a 26-year-old african-american man, arrived at his father’s house on the 4600 block of n vancouver avenue a few minutes after 11:00 screaming that he had been shot by an unidentified subject in a vehicle. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died from his wounds. Sharveil moorer was reported to be a former member of the kerby block crips and worked with his father in the scrap metal business.
