In the early morning hours of 12/13/1987, ruth a. Stires, a 67 year old white female left her motel managers office of the alamo motel in whitehall, 3855 east main street. She walked to a boiler/storage room to turn out lights. She was ambushed in this storage room where she was tied up, beaten and murdered. Evidence shows the perpetrator went back to ruth's office, ransacked it and items were stolen. The perpetrator was never identified.Agency
