David cloutier was found on the couch in his apartment and had been shot once in the head with a .25 caliber round and also had multiple stab wounds. He was last seen on 07/17/87 in the afternoon. His friends became concerned and went to his apartment and discovered the body. The friends tried to remove drugs and money from the apartment and contaminated the crime scene. A possible suspect was developed who admitted that prior to the murder, he purchased a .25 caliber automatic but claimed he sold it.
