On june 17, 2004, the victim was hanging out at an apartment complex located near east mississippi avenue and south cherry street when he became involved in an altercation with an unknown suspect. It was during the altercation that the unknown suspect shot the victim. Immediately after the shooting, the suspect fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital by ambulance, but unfortunately did not survive.
